Mona doesn‘t do much without her partner Chris.
Both started diving in March 2000 on the beautiful Perhentian islands on the East coast of Malaysia. A Sea&Sea MII camera was part of the diving course already.
They were already aware that they were joining a very fortunate elite who have the chance to explore the underwater world. They traveled thoroughly in South East Asia, South and Central America and the Red Sea. In the beginning, the aim of their photography was documentary. Very quickly though, they wanted to do more, to create, to capture the perfect moment, above all, to tell stories. Then and now,they want to share the ocean’s beauty, and to protect it at the same time. When Mona’s not out diving she loves to take underwater portraits in the pool, all from babies to brides. Over the last years they focused much more on landscape photography including panorama photography and timelapses. On clear moonless nights you can also find them both staring at the sky and capture the beauty of the universe above us.
