in 1995, I co-founded one of the world's first all-digital design firms, Hopping Design, in California's Silicon Valley. I spent those first few years working with high-profile high-tech companies as the area's premier expert on all things HTML. As more design agencies emerged in the field of web design I shifted my focus over to Flash (Future Splash, Macromedia, and Adobe) and video work. Again, we became the de facto source for all things multi-media. During this time I started taking photographs of clients' products to supplement designs where their own collateral was lacking.

During the dot.com bust, we were one of the few original design agencies left standing, and as the world start to shift away from older technologies like Flash, we decide to pivot again and that's when I doubled down on photography, video, and other traditional methods of art.

Now I run my own design firm, Emotiv, along with my adjacent photography company, Benjamin Lehman Photography.
