Enthusiastic amateur. I've been photographing for about seven years now. One can read as many books as one wants but the key is practice, practice, practice. I shoot with only two primes (that forces me to come up with the ideas, not let the technology offer them up). One is a Voigtlander 10mm/f-5.6 which is my true love and from which I've acquired some great experience learning how to use it. The other is a Sony/Zeiss 55mm/f-1.8 which is crystal clear and never lets me down. My camera is a Sony A7RII. It's simply amazing. My favourite type of photography is long exposure at night. It is then that one gets to look truly through the 'eye of the camera'.
