Braxton Wilhelmsen

Hello! I have making my entire living from photography since 2012. I am primarily a commercial photographer. I am an Art Director of Photo & Video for a company here in Utah. I teach photography at Brigham Young University. I've had covers and layouts in Popular Photography, PDN and many other magazines and have shot for large and small clients on a contract basis, including Browning, Walmart, Icon Fitness and PepsiCo.

I love the game of getting and succeeding in full-time employment. I have spent a great deal of effort differentiating myself on the basis of technical proficiency, but have a deep respect for the "why" and the concept behind each image.

I've written a book on how to get good at things, and I'm excited now to be writing for FStoppers, sharing some of those same ideas with you as it relates to photography. I hope you like my work, and I hope you'll read my ideas. There's a lot of fun to be had in what we do.
