Chris Cameron

I started my photography career as a photographers assistant.

At the age of 21 I traveled to London where I assisted some of the United Kingdoms leading advertising photographers. This was my education in the technical and business side of photography.

After three years I left the UK and began a new career crewing on yachts for twelve years.

In 1999 I decided to bring these two career paths to their logical combination as a sailing photographer. I started my photography business in Auckland on contract to American media company Quokka Sports, who produced the official 2000 America's cup web site.

In 2004 I was hired as Emirates Team New Zealand's photographer and I have been lucky enough to be there to experience and capture the highs and lows of the best sailing team in the world ever since.

My specialty is sailing but that may encompass, Fashion, Architecture, Portraiture, Advertising, Editorial, Event and Sport.
