Chris Silvis

Photography is a doorway in which I can walk thru to escape the harsh conditions in which Ive become accustomed to. Battling PTSD (from my career as an LEO) for over 2 decades now I believed there was no hope in a future from unrest. Since picking up a camera and seeing the world thru the viewfinder, I have found solice and peace in the pursuit of capturing singular moments in time. I yurn for the high that comes from a bucket shot. Knowing instantly that the pic I just took brings me and others great joy.

My passion for photography started 20 years ago and has only come to head recently. While Im just an amatuer and a hobbyist, I strive to respect the field that so many professionals call home. I dare not disrespect it by calling myself a photographer. I aim to be as good as one while staying a hobbist.

My sincere thanks to everyone that has helped me along the way and to all the people that pour their lives into this art and for sharing their experiences with me. Good hunting to my peers and mentors.
