Jerry Poese

After a 20+ year career in law enforcement I needed something to make me productive and keep me busy. I had always had an interest in photography, sports in particular. My son was also a 3 sport athlete in high school at the time and I started photographing his games. Being a perfectionist and wanting to know how to do it with enough skill as not to embarrass myself too much, I returned to school and earned a B.S. in professional photography from the Univ. of Central Missouri.

I served an internship with in 2016 providing team photography for the Kansas City Royals- I affectionately called myself the “50 year old college kid”. Sports photography just seems to be a natural fit for me. I have also contracted with numerous companies to photograph extreme obstacle running courses, along with advertising firms for a cereal box cover shot.
