I am originally from Mexico, and migrated with my family at the age of 8 to the United States. I have lived in CA,UT, CO, and now back to Utah. I have lived most of my life in Utah so I consider this my stomping ground, even though I do miss the beach and warm weather from Southern Cal. I have was raised with very traditional Mexican roots and love everything about my culture. I went to several trade schools and a community college where my focus was mainly art and graphic design. During this journey in finding my passion I encountered a 35mm camera that changed my life. I was instantly addicted when my first roll of film was a blank or overexposed images, or should I say no images. lol I decided to take it further and make this genre mine. I spent tons of money and countless hours in the darkroom to find out I was hooked. Once digital came around I found a new challenge because most of what I knew was no longer used and finding the transition was challenging when you are used to getting a roll of film and you would only have 36 images and make them count. I enrolled at the Art Institute of SLC, where I graduated with a B.S. Degree in Digital Photography. I have to say I enjoy every time I step behind the camera to capture whatever might be in front of my lens. I love people and what they have to offer and that is why I call my self a PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER.
