About Marvin

Marvin's photography journey started in January 2018, when he picked up his first camera and started taking photos. Hailing from Lipa, Batangas, his subjects came from his daily interactions and mostly captured on the street. Hence, his first genre was largely street photography and portraits. By March 2018, he delved into Landscape photography by joining a guided tour in Batanes, Philippines, where he first developed an appreciation for nature, architecture, and fine art.

He used this newfound passion and curiosity to learn further and weaved photography into his travels. With his dedication and passion, he achieved sixteen honorable mentions and placed third in "Nature/Sunset" category in IPA-Philippines in 2018. In 2019, he recieved multiple honorable mentions from the IPA, multiple awards from the MIFA, the Epson Pano Awards, and most notably, winning Silver in the Tokyo International Foto Awards for his work titled "Scapeshift," which was also the country pick for the Philippines.

His works has been published in multiple publications such as LEMAG, FineEye Magazine and iLegaLit from 2019 to 2020.
