The year was 1981 and as a high school student I enrolled in a photography and developing class using my Dad's Nikkormat 33mm film camera……my interest in photography peaked and I began taking photos seriously. My attention from the mid-80's and through the 90's was focused on a BMX and Mountain Bike racing career and I was shooting mostly video at the time.
My photography work has taken me all over the United States from California to Texas and even to Prague, Czechoslovakia. I am lucky to have become a regular fixture within the industry and have picked up many big clients along the way. I am very proud to say that I recently scored the cover shot of Cyclocross Magazine. Some of my clients have included: Horizon Broadcasting; Pinkbike.com, USA Cycling; Voler Apparel; Felt Bicycles; The Oregon Enduro; 1859 magazine; Marin Bicycles; Oregon Special Olympics; Giant Bicycles; USA Cycling; the Giro d’Italia and Zuma Press - the largest independent wire service in the world.
In my spare time I love to enjoy outdoor pursuits such as hiking, skiing and exploring near my home in Bend, Oregon with our family dog where possible. I am a devoted father and husband to my two teenage boys and my wife. I also love to shoot other sports such as soccer and am inspired by my beautiful surroundings to improve my landscape photography.
