Michael Johnson

Thanks for checking out my page! Professionally, I'm Michael Johnson, a photographer based around Baltimore, MD. But if you spend a few minutes getting to know me - I'm MJ. Just a goofy dude who just so happens to have some camera gear and wants to try to be a professional photographer.

I'm just getting started at trying to do this professionally, but I've had an interest in photo since I picked up a camera 6 years ago. I began working with photography as a way to practice composition and lighting while trying to work towards being a cinematographer. My passion for working with still frames eventually overtook my passion for working with video, and even though I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Media and Film from Towson University, I'm working towards being a photographer instead. Whoops, sorry Mom and Dad..

I aspire to eventually shoot editorial and fashion, but I currently shoot mainly portrait and headshot photography. I'm always looking for creative critiques to try to improve my work, so any feedback is greatly appreciated.
