Steve Steinmetz

It all started when I needed a new job in high school as I entered into my freshman year of college. I worked at Ritz Camera in a downtown area near my home town in northern california. During this time I took a photography course and started developing my own film and using the colleges dark room to perfect my images. Since I worked at Ritz Camera I had the opportunity to try out film cameras and the earliest DSLR. I always wanted a DSLR but back in 2001 they were far to expensive.

Well within the past years as a loving gesture I was given a DSLR and my love for photography bloomed once again. Now I am always striving to create new and interesting images with various creative techniques that I have learned over the course of the years I have been shooting and from my pervious knowledge I received working at Ritz for two years.

Now I feel that I have achieved a level of photography that I am proud to display to the public. My photos can be seen on websites(Surfline.com, ONE, Revolution skateshop), Fester Wheel Co and print magazines(Be-mag, CLAC).
