Noa Nick
I was born in Ózd, Hungary, where I was introduced to photography at the age of 14. I took my first pictures with a Zenit camera.
On 14 February 2004, I married my husband Balázs. We have two children: Viktor and Pálma. We lived in Bak, Zala County, Hungary until 2015 when we moved to Hillsdale, New Jersey, United States. Here I opened my own studio.
In 2010, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. I had several surgeries before finally being declared cancer-free.
After my experience, I became a dedicated advocate for women with cervical cancer. For several years, I led one of the largest related Facebook communities.
My first exhibition was 20-29 January 2017 Blue Art gallery, Germany. Then, in March 2017, I had a solo exhibition called "Minimalism in Milan" at the Photo Fair in Italy. In April 2018, I had another exhibition, "Minimalism in Copenhagen" at the Art Nordic fair in Denmark. My latest solo exhibition was "Mostly White" from 1-15 August 2019 at the 5th Base Gallery in East London.
I also exhibited my work for the first time in Bulgaria through 1-15 August 2019 at the Synthesis Gallery. And finally, I had another exhibition on 1-3 November 2019 at the World Valid Hall Gallery in Barcelona.
I am currently working on my Veterans Project exhibition. This project captures portraits of veterans and publishes their stories. You can see more about it on my website at www.exhibition.noanick.com
Since 2020, I have been a photojournalist for Camerapixo Magazine.
