Andrew Paquette

Paquette started making images as an editorial illustrator in New York City in 1987. Since then, he has worked as a comic book artist, video game artist, feature film visual effects artist, art director, gallery artist, lecturer, and author. After realizing that the reference photos sometimes taken for paintings were becoming as complicated as the paintings themselves, he branched out into commercial photography, which he has been practicing since 2013. His favorite subjects are people, shot with cinematic elegance, action (as a throwback to his stint as a comic book artist), and landscapes (like the paintings he sold in galleries).
