Philip Rosoff
I am a recently retired physician who has been photographing for many years but only lately have I had sufficient time to really make a go of it. While I have made the (almost) complete switch to digital (Canon and Leica), I have rekindled an interest in film, especially large format (4x5). I built a darkroom at home and I do my own developing and printing (only contact) from both primary film negatives and digital negatives. I do some silver gelatin printing, but I am mostly interested in alternative printing methods (platinum and carbon transfer on home-sized art paper). I am now embarking on a project to learn how to do tintypes. I love landscapes (which ties in with my love of travel) and street photography and the latter's ability to tell a story, especially in the realm of social justice.
