My primary occupation is electrical engineering focusing on automotive display design, but I have been a photographer since the 70's when my brother and I set up a darkroom in the basement and got our Olympus cameras. We were taught by our aunt who was a Navy photographer in the 50's then continued in private business after leaving the Navy. Now, I enjoy the digital world and shoot team & individual plus performing arts and sports (grade school through D1 college) for hire. I have been known to shoot other events as well for local media. I take on about a dozen senior photo sessions yearly. That's about all I can squeeze in with a full-time job and the other photography I do.
For fun, I shoot nature, do some light painting, shot the total eclipse and try about anything to expand my skills.
I love the Canon 7D Mark II bodies I carry. They are at the right price for my level of work and photography income. These bodies offer plenty of features to shoot just about anything I care to shoot. Some day, though, a full frame body will be added to my bag. I have an assortment of Canon L lenses (and two non-L but higher-end lenses) to go with them.
I find photography a great escape from my technical world.
