Artistically inspired & Technically excellent!
My goal is to create beautiful photographs that are both artistically inspired and technically excellent. Having just one or the other is not enough for me as I find myself being very critical of my own work. Technique without art is cold and uninviting, while art without good technique prevents the viewer from truly enjoying the work.
To satisfy my creativity as an artist I must work on my photographs after I complete the image capture, thou the capture for me is the most important part of the process. The creative aspect of photography includes both the techniques employed during capture and subsequently infusing the image with the emotional content that I experienced when and where I took the photograph.
I believe photographic images must evoke emotion, while at the same time embed an impression that lingers long after they are viewed. I hope to pass on these feelings to the viewer.
