Courtney McCatty

I'm Courtney, a 24yo Female Photographer based in LA.

My Story:
I was a competitive #rockclimber growing up which introduced me to the modeling industry through a promotional shoot I did for a climbing related company. Soon after, my interest grew and I was signed to a local Michigan agency and spent the next 4 years of my life working as a #model. I was on magazine covers, national billboards and even was blessed to travel the US as a #MonsterEnergyGirl, but found that my life in front of the camera wasn't nearly as rewarding as my life behind it.

At 17, I bought a #camera and started putting together creative photoshoots with my friends. After just 3 months, images from those shoots were noticed by a local magazine and they asked me to shoot their December Cover. From then on, I was regularly published in their magazine for the next 3 years and worked as a advertising/product #photographer in my hometown. As my work evolved I moved to larger markets, from #TraverseCity, to #Detroit, to my current home in #LosAngeles.
