William Twitty
I was born a dreamer. I had a pretty wild and unpredictable sense of fascination. Throughout the many years of my youth I had many fixations and ideas about who I wanted to be. However, one consistent idea that always stuck with me was the camera.
Photography came naturally to me and the urge to feed it and grow with it is no different. Despite the trials it may bring, the creativity that is pulled out of me always keeps me moving forward. It strengthens and teaches me every day. While I have specific genres of photography I am better at than others, I can't help but experiment and dip my toes in new forms as well. I stick to what I'm good at but that doesn't stop me from getting better at something else either. However, if I had to pick the genre I am most passionate about, it would be photojournalism.
The only clear path for me in photography is to keep shooting. I find that there are stories out there to be told and new visions to be seen. My eyes pull me toward these things and by exposing myself and pushing my mind to the possibilities, I am constantly surprised by what the world has to show. I love story telling and I love photography. To me, they go hand-in-hand so well. I want to tell stories with my pictures and I want those tales to make an impression on someone.
I love the power of photography and I love the storyteller it brings out of me.
