Robert Jensen
I was one of the early photographers in the resurgence of vintage style pinup photography when I started in the late 80's.
For awhile in the early 90's if you Googled 'Vintage pinup photographer' I was the first 2-3 results returned.
I was fortunate enough to meet the great George Hurrell shortly before his passing and gained a lot from that meeting.
One of the first photographers to work with Dita Von Teese when she was 20. Her original website used my work almost entirely for its main pages.
I shot two of the centerfolds for Atomic Magazine, one of Lana Landis and the other of Kelley Rarey.
One of the things that made my day was getting a fan email. I've gotten them from all over the world. Heck, they make my whole week!
Perhaps the coolest use of my work was by someone of royalty in the UK who for his birthday party paid me for use of one of my photos to project on the wall of his castle for guests to see as they drove up.
At age 64 I'd still be shooting if it weren't for a bad back and other ailments. I'm working on fixing the various things that need fixing, just had 4 surgeries on my legs this month, but I have hope I'll be back out there one of these days. I just hope I haven't been gone so long that I have to start over again because no one remembers me.
