Retired former studio owner/operator/photographer/B&W printer from film days. Never worked in digital, but now think digital is nearly unbelievable and wish I'd had it long ago. Introduced to digital in 2007, never looked back. Definitely a raw-only shooter finishing in Lightroom, and in Photoshop for things that Lightroom either does not do well or at all.

Nowadays I am more a "pretty picture guy." I am resolutely not a "gearhead." I use only compacts, "glorified point 'n' shoots." My current primary is a Sony A6300 with a small stable of mostly zooms, backed up by my A6000. I carry as little gear as possible, occasionally a small flash unit and a tripod in the car. I prefer available light, or dark as the case may be. "It's not what you have; it's how you use it."
