Peter Hines

I’m a fine art digital photographer who sees my camera as the first step in a artistic flow that also includes post processing in Adobe Lightroom/Photoshop resulting in printed media ranging from large scale reproductions (i.e. framed or metal prints, etc.) to smaller sizes (i.e. greeting cards). Drawing & painting since my youth, foremost, I consider myself an artist as much as a photographer & compare my camera, which I see as an extension of my heart, to a paintbrush with light as my medium of expression. With my artistic process I seek to express my deep inspiration & reverence for nature by illuminating my vision of the extraordinary & sublime amongst the ordinary & mundane. I find many opportunities in natural landscapes, astronomical phenomena and wildlife to express this vision ranging from classical to abstract. I call the body of my work the Tao of Light (Photography).
