Fred Ullrich
Fred Ullrich has worked professionally in visual communications for almost 30 years, in photography and filmmaking, and he continues to define his personal vision through his black and white hand crafted photographs. After earning a Masters Degree of Education in Instructional Technology he worked at Fermilab, a particle physics research laboratory outside of Chicago as Manager of Visual Media Services There he photographed some of the world’s largest and most sophisticated scientific instruments ever built. In 2013 Fred and his wife moved to downtown Phoenix where he pursues his fine art photographic practice. Primary interest for Fred is capturing the southwest landscape in black and white and on large format film. He is currently working on a project called “Rear Window” where he is photographing exterior and interior buildings from ground level and aerial views in downtown Phoenix and surrounding area.
