I grew up around photography, with my dad and grandfather both being active amateur photographers. I can still remember the smell of the darkroom chemicals in the basement.
My journey began at 14 with a gift from dad of a Voigtlander Vitessa 2.8. Lots of girlfriend photos captured with that, some of which were rather risque at the time!
I stayed pretty much in 35mm except for some outings in Georgetown with my dad's Rolleiflex. Wonderful to have waist view.
A Nikon Ftn latter on for family and nature shots. These were mostly slides. Fantastic detail. Then to XP2, primarily with a fabulous Canon A2.
Today I shoot mostly nature and children, especially my adopted daughter Katy who's a budding photog herself. Equipment is Canon APS-C and Olympus 4/3.
What's next is time-lapses and focus stacking. Hope to get experience with both in the coming months.
My thanks go out to this community for bringing such info and insight to the art!
