EDWIN GENAUX
I am just a Hobbyist! If I see something to remember I capture it. Also I guess an experimenter, for if I see something that needs a little extra concentration to capture I will play and get it. Some examples:
Back in my Canon T2i days there was a limit in bracketing 3 at +/- 2EV but I got the Promote Control device that lets you do as many frames and a many EV's, The reason was for doing a moon sharp and in focus with a bright foreground like a city and found the Nik Collection and Photomatix to be the only Programs to handle it, But learned 5 at +/- 3ev where SS and ISO being equal say 125 and the start point center of .5 sec. got an image from 125 for a focused moon to 30 sec. for a bright foreground when edited in a HDR program it worked even at 12mm. Now for sunrise/set I always do 5 at +/- 2ev even in the blue hours for you get not silhouettes of say driftwood but a bright darkside. But when indoors to get the room bright but the outdoors also in focus and bright, saw a picture with both clear and bright and had to figure it out.
I went Sony A7S back in Sep.'14 only because it had the Bracketing of 5 at +/- 3EV BUT read an article in a magazine the A7S was great for Astro Milky Way some not seen but a camera could capture and took be till Jun '15 to research how and where and used my first lens FE 16-35mm f/4 OSS and 30 sec. on a bright beach facing east got the shot and have been doing everywhere I go and not going out west with the snakes.
