I got 5 bucs a picture by taking pics of the neighbors kids at age 12. I got my first camera, a Nikon Photomic, w/a Vivitar 35-85 Ser. I lens at age 14, and from 14-18 that camera became part of my arm.

My parents became concerned for my safety, at my photographing the regulars at MacArthur park downtown Los Angeles, at age 18.

which I started as a journal where I invited master large format photographers involved in soft focus lenses to experiment, discuss, while showing their work in what was a daring new direction at that time period.

I invented a new soft focus lens, and a new camera, and a new wide format camera, the Silhouette 612.
