I work as a pharmacy technician at a veterinary clinic by day, but my ultimate dream would be to quit my day job, buy a camper or small RV, and make a living as a travel writer and photographer, with an emphasis on nature and wildlife. I have a huge interest in birds, to the point that my last few solo trips have been largely planned around birding. In April 2021, for example, my first trip since the Covid-19 pandemic began, I took a trip to South Texas for no other reason than to watch and photograph birds. I logged 43 new-to-me species, with a total of 109 species altogether. To date it remains the best birding trip I've taken, in terms of number of new species. Even trips I have taken to be with family, such as to the San Francisco Bay Area for my cousin's wedding reception in May 2022, have involved taking some time afterward for myself to go birding.
