I live here in the Pacific Northwest and am surrounded by trees, mountains, and water. With that said I love the outdoors and it is safe to say that is my happy place. I am an avid hiker and car camper, and I am in the car faster than you can say road trip.

I took a photography in high school before digital cameras I used my mom's Pentax 35mm film camera for the class. life got in the way and the expense of development and printing, I found I did less and less photography (shame).

Thank God for digital. with my little adventures and digital cameras I found my way back to photography. I mean it made sense. I was seeing and exploring my backyard and aside from my mental memories I had no way to share them.

With digital I found it affordable to take images and to learn the finer details of photography. I started out with a cheap Canon T3 Rebel dslr with a 18 to 55mm kit lens. That grew to adding better lenses and then eventually a full frame Canon body (5D mark 4).

While I dont have the latest or greatest in camera gear I am happy and having a lot of fun.
