I picked up (Dad's) Nikon d7200 at 52 after I gave up the corporate life from burn out.
I started with real estate photography and videography because I wanted to be in space where I could take photos. At the time of starting, I needed to have my now head space so real estate photography offered me an income source with minimal human interaction. I love it!! Yes, it was a steep learning curve (and I will forever keep learning) especially from Dad who was a pro photographer in his day. His technical knowledge is off the charts. I remember our little laundry room was the developing room and then later when he saved enough money and his business grew, he built a dark room next to the carport. Now I love sitting with Dad and talking photography. I am sure he is as surprised as I am when I started up a photography business. Thanks to Dad I was able to start my journey with little expense as I have access to all his equipment. Also thanks to my husband for supporting my decision in my career change, I dropped a fairly good income and started from scratch. xoxoxo
