David Fraser

Hello! I am San Francisco Bay Area based photographer, David Fraser. I was born in the Caribbean, but have lived in the US for some time. New York, Seattle, Detroit and San Jose are among the cities I have lived and worked. My education is quite diverse. I hold graduate degrees in business administration (MBA) and public policy (MPA). I also hold a post graduate degree in education (Ed.S.) and candidacy for a doctorate in education (Ed.D.). As you may imagine, I love teaching almost as much as I love photography. I am a photographer and an academic. And I have fun with both of them.

My photography focuses primarily on fashion and portraiture, as well as glamour and beauty shots. I have been a photography enthusiast since the mid 1990s, initially shooting with film. My professional work came on the heels of my transition to digital photography in 2004.

I work with a fabulous team that includes Nicola Ifill, an accomplished stylist and experienced fashion model. She is at once my muse and my counterbalance when needed. Our work takes us to the Caribbean region a couple times each year where we work with an array of designers, models, stylists, and makeup artists and fashion models. Of course, our work in the San Francisco Bay Area includes fashion and glamour, but also includes executive portraiture and other types of commercial and corporate work.
