Patrick Vinh

My name is Patrick and I’m a freelance creative, photographer, and gamer born and raised in Philadelphia. I first picked up my camera as a young sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania and discovered how much I loved photography. My world and what I saw soon began to change as I started to see things differently. I started shooting at low angles, high angles, experimenting with prisms, glass, and mirrors, eventually coming to the style that I shoot with today. During this time, it was prevalent to see how my design background had shaped my photography. Despite my design foundation in photography, the themes of my art had not changed at all. The darker undertones of life and the struggle of self-identity are portrayed using reflections, repetition and symmetry to challenge what is beautiful and what can be beautiful as well as what is real and what is not.
