Beau Whately

I got my first camera when I was 8 years old and absolutely fell in love with photography. Of course I had to learn the basics like composition and lighting, because my parents just weren’t going to be happy developing film if it was all typical photos an 8 year old would take.

Fast forward to 2007, I made my first pay cheque in photography after I photographed a horse and rider at a rodeo which got published in the local newspaper.

Since 2007, I’ve grown into a full time photographer and videographer focused on weddings, portraits, commercial and advertising. I am one of the owners and the Studio Manager of Whately Studios in Perth, Western Australia. I manage a team of photographers and videographers on various projects and occasionally get the chance to try something new and experimental myself, which I love.
