One of the Best Things You Can Do for Your Photography Business

Photographers generally like to focus on objective things: camera settings, lighting ratios, finances, etc. It is only natural to want to put your attention toward easily quantifiable things. However, that is not all it takes to find success as a professional. This fantastic video essay features an experienced pro discussing a subtler but crucially important skill all aspiring professionals need to develop.

Coming to you from James Quantz Jr, this important video essay discusses the important of building relationships and being pleasant to work with as a photographer. It seems like such a simple thing that should go without saying, but you might be surprised by just how many professionals are bad at this (and not just in photography). Photography is as much an experience as it is the creation of a product, and clients that have a memorable and enjoyable experience with you will be more likely to return again and to recommend you to their friends and family. Thinking about the little ways you can help to shape that positive experience can pay off in huge ways down the road, and simply being easy to work with will often get your foot in the door for a lot of opportunities. Check out the video above for the full rundown.

Jim, it's a bit obvious you're nervous and still finding your way with your video's - However, not only was your video on point, it was excellent! Many times better than the way some others come across - It was a pleasure to watch and I applaud your efforts!!
