Sony Announces RX100 III

Sony Announces RX100 III

Tonight, alongside its a7s announcement, Sony announced the RX100 III, the third successor in the RX100 line. You can even pre-order the camera right away for $798.00 for delivery in late June, or continue reading for more specs.

Still at about 20MP, a new Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor is complemented by the best feature of this lens: it's new and fast 24-70mm-equivalent f/1.8-2.8 lens. A new BIONZ X image processor fires off 10 frames per second at up to 12800 ISO, natively. Finally, built-in Wi-Fi, a 180-degree tilting 3" monitor, a manual control ring, and an interesting, built-in, pop-up EVF help round out the camera's flexibility.

Now available to pre-order for June delivery.

Full sensor video reading. With a stop lower than the BMPCC in video and with a Ninja Star, This could be one compact, second videocam! Can't wait to see the tests!

Awesome. Wish I had the money for this. Is that an EVF?
