Think Your Pet Photos Can Compete With These Hilarious Images? Big Prizes up for Grabs

If you fancy yourself as a good pet photographer or think you have some images of pets that can beat the best of them, enter this year's Comedy Pet Photo Awards and earn a chance to win more than $2,000 in cash. Here are some of the best entries so far.

Pets are adorable, aren't they? To many of us, they are members of the family, and, just like our parents or siblings, they sure can make us laugh. Or scream with anger. The Comedy Pet Photo Awards 2022 runs until July 1st, so now is your last chance to enter some of your funniest pet images. To be clear, the competition is looking for hilarious images, not technically beautiful images.

Created by Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam, this global funny pet photo competition celebrates the positive and vital role that pets have in our lives and aims to encourage awareness about animal welfare. This year, thanks to the partnership with Animal Friends, the competition is donating a huge $35,000 to three separate charities all doing an amazing job caring for and rehoming abandoned animals: Dean Farm Trust, London Inner City Kitties, and Wild at Heart Foundation. Tom Sullam, cofounder, said: “We hope that by sharing a sneaky peek at these latest entries, we can raise a smile or two and maybe encourage more budding photographers (amateur or professional) to get involved and enter their funny pet photos and videos. And this year, entry to the junior category is free and there is an extra cash prize for the best video." In addition to the cash prize of $2,500 to the overall winner, category winners will also be able to select a charity from an approved list to receive an extra $6,000 cash donation. There are prizes for all category winners with finalists due to be announced mid-July and winners in September.

It's a good incentive to get cracking, isn't it? Show your lovable pet being funny and get some financial reward in the process, plus help out animal charities. It's a win for everyone. I look forward to seeing your results.
