Behind-the-Scenes of Incredible Landscape Photography in Norway

Sometimes, to get really inspired for photography, you can just watch someone else doing it. Now, if you're a landscape photographer, I think that's doubly true. But, beware, that usually comes with some wanderlust which can be expensive. You have been warned.

I'm not a landscape photographer. But, like most not-landscape photographers who are still photographers, I can't help myself; I have to try at every opportunity. I have also been fortunate enough to travel a reasonable amount and to some spectacularly beautiful locations, one of which is the destination in this very video: Norway.

In 2010, I made an online buddy through a mutual hobby. We stayed in touch for years, and eventually, I travelled out to Norway for the first time as he kindly offered me the opportunity to stay in his cabin. It didn't take long to fall utterly in love with Norway and I imagine a good portion of that was to do with photography, even though I didn't pursue landscapes in any meaningful (read: financial) capacity. It is a grand and awe-inspiring place and this video by OpticalWander does a good job of showing a portion of it.

If you enjoy landscape photography, I implore you to visit the country. If you want to see one example of what I got up to there, here is an article about when I went to hang out with reindeer and Sami people.
