What do you keep in your camera bag that helps you stay inspired and creative? The team over at Format and ONA Bags want to know. They also want to give you $6,000 worth of prizes. Interested? It's really simple to enter the #myOnHand Instagram Contest.
From August 25th to September 10th, Format and ONA Bags are running an Instagram contest where you can submit your photos of what you keep in your gear bag for a chance to win some amazing prizes. One lucky winner will win a grand prize valued at $6,000! Prizes include a Fujifilm X100T Camera, an ONA Bags gift certificate ($300), a year-long Field Notes color notebook subscription, Moment Lens Set (1 Tele and 1 Wide Lens), a feature on Format Magazine, and a Lifetime Format Professional Account. There are also two runner up prizes: a feature on Format Magazine and 1 Year Format Pro Account.
It is always inspiring to see what other people use to stay creative. Looking at another photographer's toolkit shows us the similarities in our gear, or tools we haven't thought about using. It can help spark a conversation, or help spark a new idea.
Here are some tips for snapping your toolkit:
1.) Take the photo from above, a bird's eye view, so we can see everything that you keep on your desk or in your gear bag. Include anything that you keep on hand to help you reach your creative vision: cameras, lenses, photos, notebooks, a special trinket. Whatever it is that inspires you to keep creating, Format and ONA Bags want to see it! Note: these images need to be new, not a repost or older photo.
2.) Once you've snapped your image, post your photo to Instagram, and mention @useformat and @onabags and #myOnHand in the caption! You are able to submit as many new, original photos as you would like until September 10th, 2015, so go ahead and get shooting! Read all the contest details here on Format Magazine.
