One of the best innovations in modern videography and cinematography is the genuine first-person footage you can now capture. Where once it was entirely faked, we now have people playing sports with a GoPro stuck to their forehead, giving reasonably close approximations of what they are seeing. This has led to so many stunning videos from climbers, adventurers, and even war correspondents. However, it can be expensive to buy a decent GoPro and a mount. That's made all the worse when you consider many of you will have an excellent camera sitting dormant in your pocket.
This video, by Cody Wanner, is a DIY solution to mounting your iPhone on your head for first-person PoV footage. Now, I will warn you, if you create this piece, you will look as if you were pushed down the shoot at a building site, but if you can tolerate that, you can come away with some singular footage. iPhone video, particularly on the newer models, is top-notch and well-stabilized.
