The new Singapore Sports Hub (now completed) was not without controversy, as it was built over the traditional open-roof design of the old National Stadium. An entire generation that experienced National Day celebrations at the old venue would only have their memories to recall that image. Here the modern Sports Hub is shown in stark contrast to old public housing flats that were built around the same time as the old stadium.
