Great shot! Beautiful intimacy. Great composition. Fits the competition perfectly. The fact that this picture is rated under two stars really says a lot about this community. Most of them are obviously shockingly ignorant douchebags who wouldn't see a beautiful photograph if they got slapped with it.
Thank you. I understand the community's tendency to think of photos in terms of their marketability, and this particular image probably wouldn't work "in someone's portfolio" to get business. I thought it worked for the theme, however, which is why I submitted it. Thanks for your kind words!
You‘ve got a point there. But this style of photography can be profitable for example in wedding-shoots or for portraits if you have a custumer who values autentizity, timelessness and mood over „en vogue“ and gloss. And by the standards of the rating system it is by no means a one-star picture. There is clear artistic intent in your photo. Composition, light and subject all work together and make for an intimate and beautiful portrait.
