Shot in studio. Blue gel filter on main light to the right. Overhead light at 85% power. Handheld Shot with Canon 7DMkII, EF-S 60mm f.2.8 macro, 2.5 Secs f2.8. One of those shots that is proving difficult to recreate. Great model. Had a little ambient light from the left, as viewed. Nice and steady. Told the model to keep as still as possible whilst moving his right arm. I told him to end up pointing at the lens. It worked. For us anyhows. Sure, the focus on his hand is just out. The focus plane was going to be narrow shooting wide open at f2.8. But this was hand held for 2.5 seconds. No supports whatsoever. It was cropped.
