Hmm. Good idea with wood on the bottom but there are too much of it, maybe better to crop it.
I would like this photo more with some motion in it.

I completely understand with starting with this stuff. It ain't easy at all. This is what I think:
The lighting on the bottle and glass is literally, SPOT ON!
But... the lighting in total and composition isn't well executed.
I would crop just below the glass and bottle for a wider view instead of a square view, and get a flash with an Orange modifier over it to make the liquid really pop more. You may be able to recover a lot with the RAW file, but won't look as good as a flash being behind and the glass/bottle and low enough you don't see the flash (if this makes any sense at all)
Yeah it makes sense after reading it a couple of times, haha! Thanks for the critique and the nice words! I will test it out next time I shoot.
I look forward to seeing your results. I need to work on my lighting more, it aint the easiest with glass lol.
