I picked this image because it's a mix of sun, ambient and modeling lamp. It also tells a story, which I think is important for any photograph. More important than the tools used to take it.

Soapbox preaching aside, this was shot using the Anamorphot anamorphic adapter on the Sony Zeiss 35mm. I stopped up to 5.6 on this shot, since the grating on the wall art behind her was very textured - I didn't want it to compete for attention on the subjects face. The art I brought to frame her wasn't big enough to not be distracting, and I liked the "Old Icon" look that this round piece. It makes the image more somber.

It's also somewhat interesting that the photos submitted earlier, seem to get voted lower than the ones submitted later.

That's an interesting sociological topic for discussion.
