This is the time of year in the midwest when Owlets are "branching", making their way out of the nest for the first time. This Barred Owlet had just made it's way out of the nest just hours before. It was a curious creature, often walking back and forth along this branch and testing wing movement. Capturing these moments is one of my favorite things to do! Made with my Canon 6D and Tamron 150-600mm lens.
