Why this picture? There are so many other ways to highlight a rescued animal and what they go through. As well, as a photographer entering a contest this picture represents you, your skill with the camera and editing, your ability to empathize with an animal you say you rescued. I would have loved to see some post processing with genuine respect and love with this poor puppy. If nothing else, edit so that can be the focus of a comment.
