I want to really love this image but I feel that if you could have moved more to the right or maybe got your puppy to turn their head just a little more towards the camera it would make a huge difference.

This dog has a very expressive face but we only get to see half of it and that half keeps makimg me look beyond the frame on the right, this also makes the left hand side of the image redundant. The sharpness on the dogs coat is a great texture counterpoint to the rocks and I love the clarity and sharpness of the eye.

I can see the work you've done to blur the background - close but a bit more feathering may have helped with the hard edge on the dogs coat.
