I don't understand why you would shoot such a fast action shot at f11 with such a slow shutter speed. The slow speed makes the DoF irrelevant because nothing is sharp at all, and then you had to bump your ISO up higher than necessary which definitely didn't help the situation. I feel like a much faster shutter at f5.6 or f8 would have produced much better results, even if you underexposed it in camera and had to bring it up in post. You had a great spot to shoot this from and I would have LOVED to see a better result.

I think you're right... background is I was shooting telephoto with another body and handed my wide angle to my fiance. There was a pro shooting who advised her to try f/11 (probably for some sunstars at sunset I'm guessing) and she just stuck with it.
Also, I think I exported this one at slightly too low a resolution.
I still like the photo though

Despite all the technical issues, the sense of speed and action in this photo draws me in immediately.
