This image was shot on a Samsung Galaxy S6 a few years ago at the Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, Tennessee; enslaved West African men sitting on the floor with their legs in chains on their way to the New World. I crouched down to get a more eye-level view and raised the shadows to hide their faces, giving the image an ominous feeling. The clenched fist, in my opinion, makes the image extremely powerful, a symbol of strength in such a hopeless situation.
