Could you explain why you decided to comletely blur the dune?
If you didn't mentioned it in the description I'd never figure out by myself

I think he meant just using shallow depth of field, but honestly, I'd have liked it way less. Dune isn't the subject here.

Yes, just like Brock mentioned above I meant why there is so shallow DoF. I know everyyhing necessary about lenses. aperture, separation and cetera, but I know as well that this is not the only separation technique (probably the laziest one).
And in myhumble opinion if you shoot at such wide aperture it's become insignificant about the actual place where shooting is - it could be a dune, a beach, a mountain, a studio background - you could never tell. I not against sahllow DoF, on the contrary I'm huge fan of it, but in my deep conviction in this case it hurts the image.
