Love the subject - the gnarled tree in its element, and the background red-rocks. If I were suggesting how to improve it, I'd have wanted to try different times of day where the light was more flattering and maybe not `quite` so tight a crop so the tree is a bit more clearly the subject but has some room to 'move' or so?
Hi Eric, thank you so much for your suggested improvements! I'll definitely take those into consideration with my next shots and agree that would improve the current image! The lighting is my main regret with this photo as it was a tree I found at the end of a long hike on a day with unwavering overcast.
